Foodhall, the gourmet food store in Lower Parel, is celebrating the flavours of Mexico throughout the month during which you can stock up on ingredients, cooked foods and snacks. Here’s what’s on offer:
Fresh produce
Avocado, tomatillos, purple corn and chillies such as jalapeños, habaneros and serrano.
Sauces, spices and dry goods
Taco seasoning, fajita seasoning, enchilada sauce, nacho chips, tortilla chips, taco kits, fajita kits, mole sauce, chipotle chillies in adobo sauce, margarita mixes, hot chocolate powder, cactus, Cajun spice mix, pinto beans, quinoa and Spanish saffron and paprika powder.
Cheeses
Cheddar, Monterey Jack, manchego Cotija, Oaxaca and queso Chihuahua.
Bakery and patisserie items
Pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese rolls), Mexican corn bread, conchas (Mexican sweet bread), spinach tacos, beetroot tacos, tres leches, coca de crema (puff pastry with cream), espresso and hot chocolate shots, Spanish flan and churros with chocolate dipping sauce.
Dips
Chipotle sour cream, mole negro, raw mango salsa, five-layered Mexican dip, red pepper and black eyed pea salsa and salsa verde.
Salads and sandwich counter
Taco salad, vegetarian mole burrito, chimichurri chicken burrito, portobello mushroom and black bean torta, pulled lamb torta.
