Foodhall, the gourmet food shop in Lower Parel, is hosting a Summer Festival showcasing foods suited for the season such as cooling beverages, salads and frozen desserts until Tuesday, June 7. Here’s what’s on offer:
Gazpacho station
Cooking demos at which you can learn to make various types of gazpacho such as the classic Spanish version; cucumber and celery; asparagus and basil; and Melon Mary gazpacho.
Beverages
Kokum and chia cooler, rose petal iced tea, jalapeno lemonade, honey dew and tender coconut juice.
Patisserie items
Mango Charlotte, mango macaroon, chilled mango and lime ricotta cream, mango tart.
Frozen treats
Visitors can sample matka kulfi and a variety of ice creams at the DIY sundae station, which will offer waffle cups and cones and stroopwafels as well as a number of toppings such as lemon meringue drops; coffee meringue drops; pistachio, pine nut and paprika nougatine; almond star anise nougatine.
Fresh salads
Purple corn and kale salad; glass noodle salad, zucchini, carrot and beetroot salad; mixed melons and feta salad; melon and Parma ham salad and parmesan pesto chicken salad.
Dairy items
Blueberry yoghurt parfait, peach and mango yoghurt parfait, Breakfast in a Bottle beverages with almond milk, flax seed and banana; and oats, berries and Greek yoghurt.
Cheeses
Sundried tomato and basil bocconcini, feta and olives marinated in fresh herbs, fresh burrata.
Salad leaves and microgreens
Rocket, romaine, endive, kale, baby gem lettuce.
Summer fruits
Melon, jamun, coconut, alma, tad gola, bel (wood apple), kokum and mango varieties such as Alphonso, chausa, pyari and langra.
