New Restaurants And Bars: Bastian in Bandra, Myx in Juhu

OPENINGS
• The chef duo of Kelvin Cheung and Boo Kwang Kim, which heads One Street Over, the bar and restaurant in Bandra, is slated to launch Bastian, a seafood-centric spot in Bandra on Saturday, May 28. The nautical-themed casual-dining restaurant that gets its name from Sebastian the crab in the animated film The Little Mermaid has replaced mafia-themed bar Gangsta’s. Bastian’s bar will be helmed by One Street Over’s Arijit Bose, who has drawn up a menu of Mai Tais and micheladas that you can pair with bar bites such as crab Rangoon with cream cheese and guava; prawns with candied walnuts; and carrot bun with spicy mushrooms. The menu will also list lobster bacon kimchi fried rice; crab lo mein with ginger and onion; steamed salmon with lemon, fermented black bean and jalapeño; crispy snapper with sweet and sour Sichuan sauce; black pepper honey cheesecake; and triple chocolate cheesecake. • Redbrik Restaurants, the hospitality group behind the restaurant Fable and the bar True Tramm Trunk, both of which are in Juhu, will launch their third property in the suburb, a tapas bar called Myx, on Monday, May 30. Their multi-cuisine molecular gastronomy menu will feature sushi, Kerala oysters, Buffalo wings and matcha panna cotta. The cocktail menu will include Irish malai kulfi and The Myx (vodka, peach, orange and cranberry). Open daily, from noon to 1.30am. Myx, Ground Floor, Navratan Apartments, A.B. • New outposts of Pao and Bao, the sandwich delivery place from Lower Parel, are slated to open in Andheri East and Powai on Sunday, May 29. The menu is the same across the chain. Open daily, from 11am to 11pm. To place an order, call 6590 6666.

CLOSINGS
• The flagship outpost of Busaba in Colaba has shuttered after a 15-year run. The South-East Asian casual-dining restaurant chain, which is now called Busago has two operational outposts in Bandra West and Bandra Kurla Complex.

• Fro-yo chain 6th Street Yogurt‘s Colaba outpost has closed. The chain has outlets in Kemps Corner and Bandra West.

RENOVATION
O:h Cha, the Thai restaurant in Lower Parel, has closed for renovations.
