• Blanco, an all-day bar and restaurant inspired by the Greek islands of Santorini and Mykonos, is slated to open in Andheri West on Monday, October 10. The bar menu at the 4,000 square feet joint will feature Nesty Drincage (gin, grape juice, black pepper and soda); Snacky Vorow (vodka, orange juice and rose water); and Vintage Flower House (white rum, elderflower syrup, litchi juice, lemon juice and basil). • The folks behind Mirchi and Mime, the Indian restaurant in Powai, will launch Madeira and Mime, a gastropub in the suburb in the second week of October. Like Mirchi and Mime, the new venture will have speech and hearing-impaired wait-staff. The multi-cuisine food menu will feature egg hopper with chicken sukha; Quebec poutine with cheese curd; Bombay duck fish ‘n’ chips; and pulled mutton burger. Open daily, from noon to 1am. • A travel-inspired bar called Reise All Day Bar and Kitchen opened at the Oriental Aster Hotel in Andheri East on Thursday, October 6. The multi-cuisine fusion menu spans Indian, South East-Asian, European and American fare. Nosh on dragon chilli potato; lemongrass chicken kulfi; thepla taquitos; chicken schnitzel; peri peri prawn skewers; and cheese and parmesan dim sum. • Corum Hospitality, which owns The Bar Stock Exchange chain of bars, will launch Mr. Baozi, a South East-Asian gastropub in Lower Parel in the third week of October. The 5,000 square feet pub will be located in the basement of the same building as the Kamala Mills outpost of The Bar Stock Exchange. The menu will offer sushi, curries and bao sandwiches. • South Mumbai has an Indian food delivery kitchen called Indizza that serves mushroom achari tikka; chicken noorani masala; truffle cheese naan; mutton biryani; and mushroom biryani. • The Bandra outpost of European restaurant chain The Sassy Spoon, which had closed for renovations in September, will re-open on Monday, October 10 with a new look and menu.
