For episode 22 of their podcast the Adventures of Cheap Beer, the trio of Mumbai quarter bar-reviewing tipplers Karan Agarwal, Siddhant Mehta and Suyash Barve visited Andheri dive Lotus Court with two female guests, TV series director and executive producer at online entertainment network Fame Digital Kiran Watwani and animal behaviour expert Monica Fatogun. Here are five things we learned from the episode:
1. Jogeshwari railway station is closer to Lotus Court, located inside Laxmi Industrial Estate on Andheri’s Link Road, than Andheri railway station.
2. Though the booze is relatively expensive, the bar serves Cheeselings gratis.
3. Among the more interesting items on the food menu is the roti poriyal.
4. It is, as the two women guests attest, a relatively female-friendly bar.
5. Lotus Court is not half as fascinating as Fatogun’s job at the Sanjay Gandhi National Park where she observes rusty spotted cats.
