Yauatcha, the global chain of Chinese restaurants from London with an outpost in Bandra Kurla Complex, offers some of the best dim sum in the city. Our favourite among their selection is the Cantonese rice roll or cheung fun. Cheung fun is traditionally served steamed but Yauatcha offers a crispy iteration, which is the one to get. Two translucent rolls cut into sushi-sized pieces come lined on a tray over which a waiter pours warm soya sauce. Under the slithery, steamed surface layer is a sheet of the crunchiest fried tempura batter wrapped around sweet prawn. Earthy flecks of wood ear mushroom add an extra layer of flavour. Rs695 (excluding taxes).
