The big draw at the recently-opened Lower Parel outpost of Woodside Inn, the chain of pubs, is the set of 25 taps dispensing homegrown craft brews. There’s another reason to return: a brioche stuffed with prawn. The prawn roll, as they call it, is their take on a New England lobster roll and is served exclusively at this branch of the pub. We had it when sober and when fairly inebriated and both times declared it the winning dish on their menu. A buttery, soft brioche style hot dog bun (which they get customised from Mag Street Bread Co.) holds up a flavourful filling of red cabbage slaw, rocket and butter-poached prawns drizzled with aioli. It’s a flawless marriage of butter, garlic, prawn and bread and ought to be listed on their menus in Colaba and Andheri. Rs545 (excluding taxes).
