Clik here to view.Mumbai is finally catching up with cities like Bangalore, Pune and Delhi that are full of microbreweries. The city’s brewpub tally, which currently stands at five, counting Brewbot and The Pump Room Beer Factory in Andheri, the Doolally Taproom in Bandra and Andheri West and The White Owl and The Barking Deer in Lower Parel, will hit six with the opening of an outpost of Pune’s Independence Brewing Company (IBC) here during the first quarter of 2016. IBC, which currently supplies a selection of its craft suds to Woodside in Andheri and Woodside Inn in Colaba, is slated to set up a 2,000 square feet pub in either Lower Parel or Bandra. The brewery, by Shailendra Bist and Greg Koch, who also co-owns California’s Stone Brewing Co., will supply a minimum of eight beers to its Mumbai bar, where you can expect to sip on such popular brews as their Belgian wit and Four Grain Saison.
